El Escorial left me speechless. A palace for kings of Spain and monastery for Catholics, this incredible building dominates the hills close to Madrid (around 40 minutes away). The small village that sorrounds it is beautiful & quiet in the same time. Here are some tips to help you stay healthy on the road.⠀ ⠀ 1. Eat breakfast ☕🥪🍎⠀ It’s the most important meal of the day for a reason - it gives you the energy to start your day right. If you don’t want to eat out for breakfast because you’ll be eating out for lunch and dinner, make your own breakfast! Whatever you do, don’t skip breakfast! ⠀ ⠀ 2. Sleep, sleep, and sleep 💤⠀ The most important thing you can do while traveling is sleep 😴. Your body needs rest when you’re physically traveling, crossing time zones, carrying luggage to and from destinations, walking all day... Traveling is harsh on your body so make sure you get plenty of rest. ⠀ ⠀ 3. Don’t forget about stretching 🧘⠀ Have a full day ahead?
