Today my trainer, partly joking partly because he knows how to wind me up, said to me don’t be lazy! My immediate response was a very defensive “I am not lazy, I am tired!” And that is a very genuine and honest answer. I can hardly count the times when I didn’t feel like going to train or go to yoga, and if that happened it would more likely be down to maybe not feeling well or feeling like I was not in top conditions. It got me thinking about all those people who do genuinely feel lazy to go to the gym or to show up on their mat and it reminded me of a video of Gary Vee saying that laziness is good because what we call laziness is actually a sign of us not liking something. That is, I never feel lazy to move and work out because I like it. When I tried running as a form of physical activity, I hated it and felt lazy to do it. I feel lazy to floss, to iron (I don’t, unless really necessary), to cook, sometimes. So if that is what you are feeling when it comes to your physical activity, change it, do something that you feel like doing pretty much all the time. Even when you might feel tired.
