Todo cardio trabaja el corazón y el sistema circulatorio, generando un aumento del flujo sanguíneo en todo el cuerpo para mantener el movimiento. Pero el cuerpo tiene tres sistemas de energía diferentes, lo cual es muy importante de entender cuando observamos la diferencia entre los dos tipos diferentes de cardio: HIIT y LISS. - Hay personas que dicen que el cardio de alta intensidad es más beneficioso debido al efecto de posquemadura, mientras que otros dicen que el cardio de baja intensidad quema más grasa durante el entrenamiento. Ahora, esta es una de esas cosas donde ambos tienen sus beneficios y sus detrimentos. Por ejemplo, el entrenamiento HIIT es excelente porque es corto y efectivo y es sorprendente para su acondicionamiento, pero tampoco es para principiantes y es muy exigente para el cuerpo cuando se hace correctamente. El cardio de baja intensidad se puede hacer casi todos los días y es ideal para cualquier persona de cualquier nivel, pero no se queman casi tantas calorías y consume bastante tiempo. - Para ser honesto, le digo a la gente que haga una combinación de ambos. Personalmente hago una caminata en ayunas (LISS) todos los días y HIIT 1-2x / semana adicional dentro de mi régimen de entrenamiento de fuerza. I got a little behind on my workouts so I did a bunch of them today with time in between each workout!! D40 of the #GangstaAWOHL calendar workout Beast Build: Chest & Tri's. I actually benched 100 lbs dumbbells with each arm!!! I didn't know I had this strength but I felt good as I increased with the 8 reps. Then I empty the buck and finished strong. Day 5 of Shaun Week is with the workout Ripsanity. It’s not everyday that you do a workout that brings the body to internal tears or is that the sweat crying? This workout really challenges the endurance one has. I love how this workout will build confidence in the self especially when it is completed. I completed the Cize workout in full with Crazy 8’s. I worked up a great sweat during this routine. I felt this workout throughout my body and in my core. I was far from perfect with the moves but I had a lot of fun doing it and got my heart rate up with completing the workout. D41 of the #GangstaAWOHL calendar workout completed was AWOHL Core. This is such a great workout. I got my sweat on. I like this workout because it isolated different parts of the body at the same time. It’s challenging but I was more than up for it. Day 6 of Shaun Week is with the workout Speed 4.0 and this workout is non stop cardio. When you commit to something, challenge yourself and accomplish it, not perfectly but just do your best and change happens on the outside and the inside. I might have wanted to cuss at him a bit but my good guy values were stronger than that temptation where I held it together. I did often say, are you serious but I pushed through and conquered day six! Another day pushed to the limits and another day I proved myself that I am capable of so much more than I think.

Fitness is so much like food; many dishes to choose from. Last week I'm pickleballing and this one I'm running a half (a spicy one). Soon it will be fat biking in the snow and then there's November Project bridge month (so good). While I feel most at home running trails, I like the challenge of 21.1 on the road. But I have a couple things to figure out to get the best out of the adventure. Getting there! One thing is certain, more to come!
