However, at the moment of his birth, all the guards fell asleep, the chains were broken and the barred doors gently opened. Similarly, as soon as ‘Krishna’( Chetna, Awareness ) takes birth in our hearts, all darkness ( Negativity ) fades. All chains ( Ego, I, Me, Myself ) are broken. Weekday-ing like it’s the weekend. 🤗🙌🍴🎉🎊 I’ve been thinking a lot about the SHOULDS and SHOULD NOTS that we piece together around food and where they come from. There isn’t a set of rules about what to eat or when to eat that knows better than your own body. Growing up, French toast was only a weekend food because we didn’t have time to make it before school/work. So as an adult I never made it on weekdays even if i really wanted it and had time. 🤷‍♀️ But then one weekday @jaredswork asked what i wanted for breakfast and I wanted French toast. But it was a weekday so I’d have something else. He made French toast. And so we’ve started having French toast on weekdays and it’s glorious. And while this is just one personal example from my life, I think we can all question where some of our shoulds and should nots around food and eating come from. 👊 #frenchtoast #nofoodrules

no bake caramel cheesecake on a browned butter almond crust {recipe below} . . when summer meets fall. oh and it’s completely delicious. have a great friday 😘 . . . no bake caramel cheesecake on a browned butter almond crust . crust: 10 Tbsp. brown butter 2 c almond flour (180g) 1/4 c  sugar (50g) 1/2 tsp salt . filling: 16 oz. room temperature cream cheese 1 c caramel sauce (homemade or store bought) 1 c heavy whipping cream  1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp ground cinnamon . peaches: see comments . Method:  To make the crust, preheat the oven to 350F. Line an 8-9" springform pan with parchment paper - side and bottom. In a mixing bowl, whisk together almond flour,  sugar and salt.  Place evenly sliced butter into pot over medium heat. When butter fully melts and begins to foam, stir continuously until brown bits form in the bottom and it begins to smell nutty. Remove from heat and pour into the almond flour mixture. Mix all ingredients together until well combined. Press into pan and about 1 in. up the sides. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Cool to room temperature before filling (30-45 minutes). . To make the cream cheese + whipped cream filling, bring cream cheese to room temperature (about 20-25 minutes). While this is happening, make the whipped cream. Using the whisk attachment and a chilled bowl, whip heavy whipping cream to firm peaks. Set aside in a different bowl. Using the same mixing bowl with the paddle attachment, cream the cream cheese until smooth. This just takes a few turns. Add the caramel, vanilla and cinnamon. Slowly cream together until well combined. Fold in the whipped cream until just combined. Evenly spread filling onto the crust (still in the pan). Freeze for minimum 4 hours, but preferably overnight. When ready to serve, remove from pan, peel away parchment paper, thaw at room temperature for 5 minutes.
