My word. I sort of knew I'd like this but this food made me happy. Loved the signature Xiaomian with minced pork and chickpeas. Great flavour and right up my street. Loved the glass noodles too. Wasn't sure I would, texturally, but they had a pleasing chew, while the fried yellow bean gave the loveliest toasted flavour and added great texture.
It's a pleasure to watch the dishes coming together and loved sharing this with @tiffcooksalot and @asianfoodtales.
And as soon as they opened at 12pm there was a queue. People know.
The Chinese food featival runs Fri 30 Aug - Sun 1 Sept and is free to get in. It's got loads of stuff on, loads of great traders, so why wouldn't you?
